This is totally a promotional post for a wonderful music program that Lauren has been involved in this last year called Let's Play Music. It is a program designed for children to learn complex musical concepts during the music learning window (ages 3-9) before their finger strength, coordination and letter recognition are fully developed. The program presents these concepts in fun and totally age appropriate ways a 4 year-old can understand. It gives your child the chance to take full advantage of the formative years of learning to excel at piano skills when they are fully ready. All I can say is that we have LOVED this program for Lauren. She has loved the things she's learned, the activities, puppet shows, and homework assignments and on her own has started gone from playing songs on her tone bells to playing little songs on our piano. Her singing is much improved and she has learned relative pitch where she can sing a middle "C" at will.
Very sadly, her Let's Play Music teacher is leaving at the end of the summer and so we are looking into other options around the valley. I highly recommend this program for those of you who are planning on having your kids take piano lessons in the future, and if there is not a teacher by you (and you have musical skills and are interested in making some money) this is a great way to go. You can go here to find teachers in your area.
The end.

How great! I'm happy for Lauren and glad to hear that she is doing well. I checked out the web site and discovered that Claire's friend Sara is a teacher in this program in our area.
Thanks for sharing. I've been looking for something like this for a while now. I tried Kindermusic, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Let's Play Music seems like just the ticket!
What a wonderful program, Jord. Music, and the ability to play and sing it, means so much and enriches a person's life in so many ways. Great information.
