This goes out to Rebecs who has requested pics of our house since we moved here. Our computer is being totally dumb and I can't upload most of the photos I've taken, but here are a few from last week of the girl's rooms. Lauren's is the one with the bunks

and Ellie's is the one with the crib.

(Although L's room still needs some decor and we have yet to move her to the big girl bed...any suggestions?)

Really cute Jordan. I've seen it in person and it is very cute! You have made your house so nice! Good job!
Hey Jord your color scheme in the girl's rooms is so cute! I love Lauren's bedding, don't tell me you made it. The bunks beds are a GREAT idea. Very guest friendly and perfect for a growing family. As far as the big girl bed goes my friend gave me a great tip. She said when you move her to a big girl bed lay down with her and only read 1 book, never 2, never 3, just one she'll get used to it. I know when it's Emma's bed time she always uses the "1 time" trick and she says it so cute that I always cave and soon enough 1 more time becomes 3 more and so on. Let me know how it goes because I won't be far behind you with the transition to the big girl bed.
Cute!! I love the girl's rooms and am totally jealous they each have their own room that you can paint and decorate! ;) I can't wait to see them in person! :)
the picts of the girls rooms are way cute. post more of the house and yard! i love colored walls! I'm so not a fan of white. good luck w/ the transition. we got lucky w/ kylee she never got out of her bed when she woke up, she would just hollar to us that she was awake and we'd go in and lift her out of bed just like we used to in the crib. It was so sweet
We have four bedrooms in our house, and one is technically Spencer & Daniel's. But Spency plays musical beds and is rarely in his own room or own bed. The big kids used to sleep with me a lot, and they are all in their beds now. Though sometimes they do like to "start off" with me. I'm a sucker when they want to cuddle. And now knowing how fast they turn into teens, I'm fine to spoil them a little. ---Love the two tones. That's cute.
LOVE the girls rooms. How cute!! Thanks for the pics, now I just need to see the rest of the house! Too bad I was unable to come down for a long trip this month.... I will have to come some other time.
As for moving Lauren into the big girl bed, I say procrastinate it as long as possible. My nieces and nephews where parents rushed the big girl bed ended up and still do have sleep issues, those who waited until the kid was ready have done really well. I personally think around 2 1/2 is great, which is close for Lauren. She is such a good little girl though, she may do great tonight! Mason won't ever get out of his bed, I love it! Although when he has to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night it's not so fun, but I'd much rather him be this way. He has always been a great sleeper, Mars on the other hand is already trying me. Good luck with the move!
Thanks for the pix, Jord. You have a great house, and it's good to be here visiting you. We love you, Jake, and the girls. ree ree
Very Cute! We put our daughter in a big girl bed before we started potty training her..she loved it..thre were a few nights where she got out, but she got through that pretty quick. Our son..we basically took off the front side of teh crib so he still felt secure in the crib but it was more like a big boy bed..also we did that around potty training time..so he could get out at night. We worked with both while they were little about bedtime..and its stuck with them. They do really well in bed..one thing we were very adament about was they were never allowed to sleep with us. If they came in, they could get a blanket and sleep on the floor..then they didn't get too comfy in bed with us and didn't form any bad habits. Good Luck!!
Hey Jordan! Great blog! I love the new house...it seems forever ago when I came to visit. It was right before you moved!
Thanks for the transition to the big girl bed comments!
Linny: we do already read her too many books, so thats a good idea to limit it to begin with.
Leemo: you lucky girl to have Ky stay in bed until you got her out!
Jamie: I am totally a sucker for snuggling and napping with my babies...I can't help it! Although at night I am not so nice.
Rebecs: I agree about waiting and we may just move E into the bunk bed room in the pack and play until L is ready for the change.
Alexis: Good idea about taking off the front of the crib...maybe that will be the solution!
R loves the paint colors the best. I can't wait to try out the bunk bed!
