Ellie was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 5, 2015. It was such a special day for our family and the highlight of the day for Ellie was that her dad got to baptize her and give her
the gift of the Holy Ghost.
She was the only child from our congregation being baptized that day so our family was able to participate in all parts of the program. Ellie's aunt and grandpa said the prayers, her grandmothers spoke- one on baptism and one on the Holy Ghost, and her uncle played the piano and her grandpa led the music. Ellie played a Primary song on the piano and then our dear friend Mariah sang the beautiful closing song "
What Heaven sees in you."
It was a beautiful program and Jake and I were able to sit with Ellie on the front row and take it all in. We are so grateful for all of our family members who made the trip to be there and for our friends who were in attendance. It was a beautiful sight to see our sweet girl surrounded by so much love.
I am so grateful for
ordinances- sacred acts performed by the authority of the
priesthood. These acts enable us to make covenants with God which bind us to Him in a way that nothing else does. I am so grateful that Lauren and Ellie have been baptized that that they have that additional fortification to help them through this storm. I await the day when Ada and Tommy will have the same opportunity. Our covenants, made at baptism and in the
temple, mean everything to me and Jacob and are the act through which our family can be together forever.

She is a great girl. She in the mini version of her mother and would be lucky to grow up to be just like her. Love you all!
I love that Ellie girl! I am so grateful Jacob could baptize and confirm her. I love seeing all of the pictures, but it does tug at my heart that we couldn't be there. I am so glad it was such a beautiful day!! ❤
You took such great pictures! I wish I would have done a Muuuuccch better job of that at each of my kids baptisms... :( I love seeing all these pictures of your happy, smiling family. It warms my heart.
Great pictures. I love Ellie. I love that you took pictures in front of the temple, that's a great idea.
Beautiful family and beautiful girl! How fun the whole family could take part in the program. Congrats Ellie!
Ellie is a beauty and I love her. It was so fun to be with her on her special baptism day. We're so proud of her and her decision to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.
I wish I could've been there for a very special day. I'm so glad Jacob could baptize her. She is a special girl with a pure heart. I also love the dress you're wearing in the temple picture. ;)
That was a beautiful day and a beautiful experience. Thanks for capturing it so well, Jord.

Such a beautiful girl! So grateful her dad was able to baptize her. Congrats Ellie!
Thank you so much for sharing... I got to sit down with Vincent and discuss what baptism in the LDS church meant. To see the curiosity in his eyes filled my heart with joy. It also reminded me of my baptism day and all the wonderful people who were apart of it.
