Saturday J gave me the whole day off. From everything. Child care, chores, cooking, etc. It was wonderful and I tried my best to do absolutely nothing productive.
First, I slept in until 10 am. Then I went on a run. All by myself. Then I made my debut solo movie going adventure and saw the show Australia. It was pretty good and I have to say that seeing it alone wasn't all that bad. I ate my In-N-Out and was perfectly happy. After the show I did a little shopping and then ended the day by reading magazines in the library for 2 hours. It was fabulous to have a break from responsibility and I think that a day off was one of my best Christmas presents ever! Thanks J, I owe you one.

What a sweet day! I would do probably exactly the same thing if I were given a day to myself! Exercise, a movie, reading--- perfect. And I love that you spent it all alone. Way to go J!
That is th perfect gift...I'm glad you had a great day! How was Australia?
I'm so jealous! I wouldn't even know what to do with myself!
now THAT'S a gift!
Good for Jake, though it may be setting an unreachable precedent for everyone else, kind of like Earl H. when he always, unfailingly, was able to get Mary a Christmas present that she wanted, loved, and which made her cry. Way to go, Jake, you fouled it up for the rest of us . . .
That sounds like heaven :) I'm glad that you had a day to yourself and boy did Jacob ever score some big points! And all of the poor husbands of the rest of us reading this blog.... haha :)
Sleeping in until 10 sounds like the lottery to me! :)
I love Elbert to death, but a whole day with the kids....I don't know if He could hang! I go to the grocery store alone and Elbert calls me a few times... That is so sweet and nice your hubby did that for you!
ahhh what a day Jordan, that is what I am asking for for my birthday, Christmas, and every other holiday I can think of. Thanks
