A true friend

Our AC died twice in the last 2 weeks.

Two times in two weeks.

The first time for 2 and 1/2 days, and the second time for 5 and 1/2 days.

I repeat, 5 and 1/2 days.

The median temperature outside has been 111.

We literally would have died but for a true friend that came to the rescue.

Our trusty little AC wall unit. This little guy pumped and pumped cool air into our room so we could sleep at night and not all suffer heat exhaustion.

We were also saved my many great and trusty friends who fed us, invited us into their cool homes, and offered to let us sleep over.

Next time we buy a house: make sure the AC unit is less than 30 years old!

Oh my goodness I think you guys might have had to check into a hotel if it was any longer! Thank heavens for your little wall unit and your super sweet friends. I can't believe you guys survived! Utah is going to seem so cool now ;) We can't wait to see you so soon!!!

So were you without AC for the whole 5 days, or did you have the wall unit? That's almost as bad as a heater going out in the middle of winter in Utah... (For us it was a whole week! But we did have a little space heater) Thank goodness for mini AC's and Heater's!

I can't imagine how you survived those temperatures. Thank goodness for the little space cooler that came to the rescue. What a true friend. I hope you are currently enjoying cooler weather, especially at night.

What beastly heat, and what a great little air conditioner, and what kindness of friends! What did people do in the olden days when there wasn't air conditioning and the temperature was unbearable? Thankfully, there is a/c now. Good post, Jord.

What's 111 when it could have been 120? Just kidding...we would have totally had you over, I didn't realize it was for such a long period of time that you were without AC...I am so happy all is well now! No AC in Phoenix is like no water in the desert!

Wow!! I can't believe that! And the high temps too! I am glad to hear its better now! You can always move here..our median is around 80 or so but a little humidity (no scratchy dry feet!) makes it a little warmer..we love it. Its nice and mild
