The other day I calculated that my first baby will be starting Kindergarten in 5 months. KINDY!
The time has flown by.
There are less than 6 months left where I get to have her completely under my wing.
Then she is gone to the system.
Then other influences come in.
Then I don't have control over her environment.
Then it is time to freak out!
So, until then we are going to fill her cup with wonderful experiences that she can draw on as she starts school.
Yesterday I sat down with the girls and made a list of the things they want to learn about.
Some of the items include:
weather
bushes & plants
fire stations
ballet
garbage
sports
planets
cactus
rocks
We already have a trip to the fire station lined up, and we plan to visit the dump, a post office, and a spring training facility. I'm excited to learn along with her and help her discover the joy of learning how things work in the world around her.

Thats awesome Jord- the teaching part at home, not the sending off to school. Be prepared to cry as you do- sounds like you are. But happily, it gets easier after the first. . .
What a great idea to sit down and ask your kids what they want to learn about. That will be so fun to go around and visit the actual places. I love it!
I have nothing to offer in the Kindergarten department. Ehh! Scary. I'm sure she will do great!! :)
It is so hard sending them off into the big world without you. I love that you're doing all of these fun learning experiences with your girls before Lauren starts school. It will be an adjustment for all of you, but I know you'll all do it well!
Fun! That is a great idea to involve them in activities and learning. Your little darlings are lucky to have you for a mother.
You are a GREAT mother, Jord, and we are so proud of the job you do with your sweet girls. They are bright, inquisitive, and love to go with you to do and learn things. You do well to tap into their desire to learn. Thanks for taking such great care of them.
