Ouch

(not my teeth, sorry)

I have been to the dentist 5 times this month. 5 times.

I chipped a front tooth in college. The dentist put a veneer on it. It started slipping down from the gum line and getting decay. It was time to get a new one.

My dentist recommended that I get both of my front teeth done to keep the shade/shape uniform. I said ok, no big deal, right?

Wrong!

After spending a visit bleaching (sensitivity alert), a visit taking impressions, a visit shaving down my existing teeth (sheer pain), a visit trying on the wrong colored crowns (agony), and today a visit getting the darn things on (still swollen after 10 hours), all the while imposing on the kindness of others to watch my 3 children, I am through.

I now have a 1,000 dollar smile. Literally.

I just hope it was worth it.

That is cheap for the dentist! They wanted $2500 for my work! Not a fun place to go spend money...

Hope you feel better soon!

I hate the dentist! Poor Jordan! I could have watched your little ones. If you ever need someone again, I am here! My girls are bigger now and love playmates. I hope you feel better.

Yikes, Jord. Sorry for the dental problems. No fun at all, particularly at this Christmas season. You will have a great smile, though. Love you.

Can't wait to see that smile walk through our door. I hope the healing goes OK and that you don't have to suffer any more.

I had a rough dental month too...one cleaning appointment, two appointments for cavities, and two appointments (one next week) to get veneers on my upper 8 front teeth so I feel your pain. My smile, however, is a bit higher priced:(

I feel your pain. I did that times 8 when I had veneers put on my eight front teeth in '94. Oh, not good memories, but a great diet plan, as I got down to my skinniest in years! Hope you have a safe trip and a very happy Christmas

Oh, Jord, I am sooooo sorry! I also chipped my front tooth in 9th grade (on Valentine's day, it was awesome) and totally know how horrible getting all of that done is. Ooooo, I have the chills just thinking about it... the creepy chills. The HORROR (you have to say that like Sue Sylvester, hahaha) But at least it's done now! And I bet your smile is gorgeous :) I can't believe you got all of that done for only $1000! I'm sad we won't get to see your flashy smile this Christmas! We'll sure miss you guys.

I seriously hate spending dough on anything dental or medical. It's no fun at all. Hope you guys had a great Christmas!

Jord....what a nightmare. I am all about the teethy smile being a huge part of why people are drawn to you. Your smile rocks!!! It rocks at a very high price and pain, but nonetheless!!!
