Jake is recovering well from his surgery last week.  The surgery was a success in that the neurosurgeon was able to remove all but a few traces of the tumor.  He feels mostly back to his pre-surgery self.  He has even been to the park to shoot baskets. He will start radiation treatment and chemotherapy next week. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has reached out to us and helped us in so many ways. Thank you so very much.

I am so amazed at the courage you are both exhibiting. Even your post on feeling overwhelmed took a lot of courage. I think your honesty probably helped a lot of people because, they, too, struggle with discouragement and despair at times. Sometimes we try too hard to hide our true feelings, and it keeps others from understanding the process of maintaining faith and trust in the Lord under difficult circumstances.

What wonderful news to hear Jake is recovering well. We are praying for you all individually and as a family multiple times a day. Grace has been especially worried and wants you to know she is "so happy" to read this post. All our love and faith as Jake begins the radiation and chemo. Ian and Katie
