Here's Jake's report from today's appointments:

" Today I met with my neurooncologist and neurosurgeon.  The neurooncologist did a thorough neurological test, which came back perfect. No apparent impairment.  Also, my EEG came back normal.  She said that if this is a tumor, it is unusual for symptoms to resolve themselves.  The dizziness and numbness in my hand have all but disappeared after getting some rest.  When asked what the mass was, she said she didn’t know.  She recommended a biopsy.  The neurosurgeon on the other hand said that it looked like a cancerous tumor but that we don’t know for certain until they do a pathology on the mass’s tissue.  He recommended a biopsy.  He said the biopsy procedure is pretty routine and not very invasive, with the caveat that there are always risks to surgery, especially brain surgery.  Given the location and shape of the tumor, he recommended against attempting a removal of the whole mass.  I have pre-surgery appointments and testing next Monday and Wednesday, with the surgery on Thursday.  I’m humbled and very grateful for all the thoughts, prayers and well wishes for my family and me.  They have definitely sustained us through this difficult time."

Jake and Jord...this all sounds positive. I am hoping that your neuro-oncologist is right. Sounds like she is having a hard time believing it is a tumor. Here's to hoping it is not!! We love you all! We will continue to pray. Let us know if we can do anything.

Hi Jake and Jordon, did you know that I am such a ludite that this is the first time I've read a blog or tried to leave a message on one. :) I want to you know we are thinking about you and praying for you every day. I can only attempt to imagine what this is like for you, but I do know how scary it can be to be facing a cancer diagnosis, undergoing scary tests and procedures, and wondering about all of the unknowns. If I can support you in any way please let me know. We love so much. Debbie (Robertson)

Jake, We appreciate the update. We had some of our grandchildren over and they even blessed you and Katherine in their blessings on the food. I guess that proves the fact that we remember and pray for you al(l)ways.

Love, These Robertsons
