Fake out

During my first pregnancy I kept track of my progress religiously. I knew the week, almost to the day of my pregnancy. The second one...not as much, and this third pregnancy I only have a general idea of how far along I am.

So on Friday I went to the doc for my baby check up. As I was leaving, the nurse said, "We'll see you back next week." I replied that I didn't think I was at that point yet, and she looked at my chart and said, "But you're 35.5 weeks along." What the what!

I couldn't wrap my mind around having a baby in a month and asked her to check again.

Which she did, and realized that she'd charted me for the end of September, rather than the end of October.

Phew!

Although my back is sore, I'm hot, and I'm tired I wasn't quite ready to face the reality of childbirth and a new born...quite yet. Thank goodness for 9 more weeks!

Too funny! That would have freaked me out too. I'm the type of pregnant lady who wants the full 40weeks to adjust, as I think you are. BTW: What a perfect discription of your "week counting" from your first to your third.

Jordan, you freaked me out there for a minute as I know you are only a bit ahead of me. :) Glad they got that straightened out. and I'm right there with you, people ask me how far along I am and I'm like.. ughh...I have about 2 months left. :>

I can't believe you're even due at the end of October! Where did the time go and how do you still look so tiny!

That is hilarious. One month, two months not that big of deal. Yes, it is when it comes to having a newborn.

I am so excited for your cute little baby- in October of course.

That is so funny! I kind of relied on my doctor's appointments to tell me how far along I was with Blaine, I would have believed them for a minute too! :) Oh how things change.... :) I still can't believe it's only 9 more weeks! Enjoy them while you can!! I am so excited to meet your new baby girl. Yay for more girl cousins to play with. Oh yeah, I have a boy now too... he can play with his uncles... or be bossed around by the girls :)

That's funny. I can't wrap my mind around not knowing how far along you are! That's crazy. I'm obsessed though, and I always know how much longer until I'm due, plus how many more weeks until I trick my babies into being born-which is 2-3 weeks sooner then the due date. Kid, I'm bad. Have you picked a first name to go with Claire?

Interesting story, Jord. I think if men were the ones who got pregnant, families would only have one kid maximum in them. Keep up the good work.

It's so true that the newness wears off as time and babies go on. It's because you know what you're in for! Can't wait to see you!

Tee-hee! I could still hear your voice in my head saying "what" and sort of laughing, but not.
