The Zoo

Yesterday we had a fun day at the zoo with my cousin Lindsey and her sweet girl Emma. It was great to chat and catch up with her and to see the girls running around having fun together. Lindsey and I are two months apart and our girls are just three weeks apart in age. :) Here are some pics of the day.

The zoo!!? I love the zoo. I made Schuyler take me to the Tucson zoo for my last birthday. It was great. But really, when isn't the zoo great?

So cute! I love the picture of Emma smooching Lauren. So fun to have such a good cousin friend so close that has a cousin friend for miss Lauren too! :) We were talking about going to the zoo tomorrow.... it's even more tempting now :)

I don't think the zoo was so great for those kids in San Francisco who got attacked by the lion. Usually, the zoo is good, and little kids just love to go there and visit the animals. Good pictures, and thanks for your thoughts.

Good catch, vfr. I'm glad you're keeping tabs on zoo tragedies.

P.S. It was a tiger

The little girlies are so cute and hugable. I'm glad that you and Lindsey are still best buds.

Thanks for posting those pictures Jord, I'm rather honored. It's nice to just be able to copy them to my computer and print them off. I love modern technology. Emma really liked Lauren and asked about her for the rest of the day. It's funny cause she announces her name as "onion" as well. Next year we'll make it out to your house and have a girly filled day. Thanks again for meeting us. It was so nice to catch up with you in real live words and not just on the internet :)

Oh no! Now the pressure is on. :) Thanks everyone for your comments.

Ryan: Hi! You'll have to come up and we can all go to the zoo together. You know, I'm a member of the zoo and can get another adult in for free. :)

Sarah: I wish Emma lived close, but alas Lindsey was just down visiting her mom who is here for the season

vfr: Scary about the tiger. We skipped him this time.

Mary Ann: Hello to you too! I'm so glad I got to see Lindsey too.

Leemo: Welcome! Seriously, don't expect much but thanks for visiting.

Hi Alexis! It has been a long time and I'd love to chat. I'll get you my email soon.

And my blogging diva Emily- you are still the queen of the blogging world and I'm honored to have you visit. :)

Way to respond to everyone's comments, that's the way to keep them coming! The pics were adorable especially that last one. I love what dad said about the tiger or lion or liger or whatever it was eating those children in SF. My favorite ever zoo was the one in China where all the animals were half-dead and lethargic and they had dogs locked up in cages. Actually it was kind of sad but strangely amusing at the same time.

That is scary about the Chinese zoo Claire. Usually I think zoo animals live better than those in the wild, but not really under those conditions.
