Rituals

One of my favorite rituals is making my Sunday night "to do" list for the upcoming week.

With a trusty pen and long notepad in hand I get to work.

I write out chores to do, stores to go to, things to buy, cards to write, church assignments to fulfill, people to call, projects to work on, etc.

J and I talk about plans we have on different nights of the week and coordinate our schedules.

I keep the list up on the fridge and use a sharpie to cross stuff off as it is completed. (I get cheap thrills from crossing things off lists).

And surprisingly by weeks end the items are crossed off the old list and I'm itching to start a new one.

Good call. I think I have the list pretty planned out in my head, but it usually doesn't go the way I want it to. For example, my Christmas cards have yet to be sent out. I like your Sunday idea and going over it with the Mr. Why didn't I think of that?

I love lists too! Sometimes I make one every day, but it's never very long. I just love seeing things get crossed off, why is it so fun?

I don't like lists, for myself, but know that women do, and that it helps get things done. So, good for you, Jord, and keep writing those lists.

Crossing things off of a list is glorious! I even add things that I did to a list just so I can cross it off. I have no shame :) I love that you guys coordinate schedules, that sounds wonderful. I usually just coordinate with a babysitter... they're usually easier to get a commitment from, haha. Your Sunday nights sound much more productive than ours. I'm blogging and Christian's playing angry birds. We are awesome ;)
