Filling out paperwork at the dentist this week they asked for our names, address, phone number, and insurance information.
They also asked for our occupations.
For J that was easy. Attorney.
For me it was not so much. I am a mother. Is that considered an occupation? Or do I need a more formal title?
A housewife.
A chauffeur.
A homemaker.
A cook.
A stay at home mother.
A maid.
A family finance manager.
A laundress.
How do you handle this situation?

I always write down "Mother" with a big smiley face next to it. I think being a stay-at-home mom should be celebrated. I think I may have also put things like HEO; Home Executive Officer. You could make up all sorts of fun stuff.
CEO of Domestic Operations, Robertson Household.
It's a way to celebrate motherhood while speaking their language.
I think you're all of those things that you listed, and much, much more.It seems to me like the term "housewife" doesn't say enough about what a mother really does and about how far-reaching her impact is. You're doing a great job at it, Jord!
Every time I see that question I just laugh... We have no fancy titles but the best job ever :)
I always put CEO of Robertson House Inc. Kind of lame, kind of fun. I usually get comments about how much they loved it... who knows what they really think! :)
I choose D...all of thee above!
