A must have in life.
Jacob and I frame goals using a scripture found in Luke 2: 52
"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man."
Jacob calls it the balancing wheel, and basically we set a goal in four quadrants of our lives- Intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social.
In this way we are able to increase in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man.
During the calm periods since his diagnosis, I have found that goals help give me purpose and direction and keep my mind and days from wandering into unproductive and depressing paths.
So for the next few weeks I am going to...
-Work on improving my piano playing
-Exercise 3 times a week
-Start reading the Book of Mormon from the beginning (with plans to finish at Christmas)
-Call and catch up with friends and family members
The end.

I love goals too (imagine that!) They keep you moving forward. Keep up the good work my daughter. So proud of you and I love your goals.
I do not love goals as much as some, but do believe we need to move forward and work on achieving that which is worthwhile.
