I am still in shock that my first baby is growing up. Lauren is a wonder. She is quietly determined. She is selfless. She is compassionate. She is intelligent and inquisitive. She is loving and patient with her younger sisters. She asks insightful questions. She loves Jesus and the gospel. She is fun and has a musical laugh. She loves adventure and is coordinated and tough.
We partied it up this afternoon decorating mailboxes, playing games, eating pizza, veggies and cake, and jumping on the trampoline like crazy cats. She is growing up and there is nothing we can do to stop it, so we'll just encourage, praise, and cheer her on as she makes her way down the road of life.

It looks like she had an awesome party. I love that you were able to do holiday themed parties for Ellie and Lauren, so smart. I'm also totally jealous of all the little friends Lauren's age she had over for a party. It looks perfect for your 6 year old princess!

I LOVE, LOVE that Lauren goes through things just a mere two weeks before Emma, the start of school, turning a year older, etc. Then I get to read your insight and be inspired so I can handle my oldest child's milestones with more perspective. Lauren is a darling girl and I wish we lived closer. Some day, ya never know. Happy birthday to your sweet, beautiful daughter.
