Since we leave for London, Barcelona, and Madrid in just a few weeks (ahhh!), I decided to learn a little more about architecture. I took a great architecture class my freshman year of college and learned a lot of things that I promptly forgot. I've been reading that we will see buildings that are more than 700 years old and I want to have an appreciation for their construction and design by learning more about the different architectural movements. I'm sure it will just be cursory overview, but hopefully it will help me more appreciate the things we see.
(And suggestions of what to do/see/eat on this trip are most welcome)

That is so soon! I can't believe it! I'd love to hear about some of your research.
Wow, didn't know you were going on that trip. I am excited to see your posts after that.
Your last post inspired me. I stood up and complained about bad service and mainly got what I wanted out of the situation. Big thing here, I spoke up.
Soooo excited for you guys and your trip! I love that you're researching architecture before you go. I didn't have time to research in the slightest before we left and it ended up still being amazing. You guys are going to have the best time!
How exciting! Are just you and J going? I would LOVE to go to those places some day. Be sure to take tons of pictures for me.
Ooo how exciting!! I've only been to London out of those places and there is so much to do! Make sure to check out the British Museum. I could spend an entire week in there!! It's free too :) Can't wait to hear all about it!
Good post, Jord. It is a great idea that you had to check things out in advance, so that you will know what you are seeing, and that you will know of the background story on the buildings. We are excited for your trip with Jake, and know that you will have a great time.
I am in favor of that plan.
You will love London, I can't speak for the other two because I haven't been, but I'm sure they are equally amazing. brandon is actually heading to London as well at the end of October, have a good time!
I am super jealous of you. You're such a world traveler!
